Professor Stephen Hawking gave a thechnical seminar at CERN in the Main Auditorium yestarday (27092006), and just the theoretical physicists were invited, fortunately I know some of theoretical girls and they let me know about it. And I said fortunately, because although he is going to give a colloquium today, there will be a lot of people, there are six auditoriums assigned in order to everybody could attend, so may be to get a picture today will be a little bit more complicated.

(El Profesor Stephen Hawking dió un seminario técnico en el Auditorio Principal del CERN ayer (27092006), y sólo los físicos teóricos fueron invitados, afortunadamente conozco a unas chicas teóricas, y ellas me dejaron acompañarlas. Y digo afortunada porque a pesar de que hoy va a dar un coloquio, seguro habrá mucha gente, hay seis auditorios asignados para que todos puedan verlo, así que lo de la foto sería un poco más complicado.)

The talk was about the semiclassical birth of the Universe, something that I do not understand clearly, but now I know that I have not yet to be worried about string theory... hehehe.

(La plática fue acerca del comienzo semiclásico del Universo, algo que no entiendo claramente, sin embargo ahora se que no tengo que preocuparme por la teoría de cuerdas todavía, jejeje)



Professor Hawking is the recipient of many awards, medals and prizes and is a Fellow of The Royal Society and a Member of the US National Academy of Sciences. He has worked on the basic laws which govern the universe. With Roger Penrose he showed that Einstein's General Theory of Relativity implied space and time would have a beginning in the Big Bang and an end in black holes :S. Furthermore Stephen Hawking continues to combine family life (he has three children and one grandchild), and his research into theoretical physics together with an extensive programme of travel and public lectures.

(El Profesor Hawking ha recibido muchos reconocimiento, medallas y premios y es un miembro de The Royal Society ("La Sociedad Real" es una academia científica independiente de UK), y es miembro de la US National Academy of Sciences. Él ha trabajado en las leyes básicas que gobiernan el universo. Junto con el profesor Roger Penrose mostró que la Teoría General de la Relatividad de Einstein implica que el espacio y el tiempo tienen que tener un comienzo en el Big Bang y un terminar en agujeros negros :S. Además Stephen Hawking combina su vida familiar (tiene tres hijos y un nieto) con sus investigaciones en física teórica junto con un programa extenso de viajes y conferencias)

How did we reach Torino?, is a long story, hahaha. You can see, Coté's blog and Miloc's blog for details, hahaha. We just arrived to visit Mario and Roberto, they are Miloc's and Coté's friend respectively. They did not have any option, hehe, but to be a very nice hosts.

Lyon, amazing place, I love this city, it is so quiet and have many things to do. This time "Kery no me tumbó" hahahaha. She invited me to Lyon with some of her friends and I had an excellent time with them.

Pues si, esta vez Kery no me tumbó, jajaja, me invitó a Lyon con unos de sus amigos, y déjenme decirles que me la he pasado super bien, el lugar es realmente lindo, super, super lindo, me he quedado enamorada de ese lugar.

I just want to say “Kery me tumbó, hahaha”, Saturday morning Kery called me to go to the Jura Mountain, so I said, yes why not, do I need to buy something to eat, hahaha, smart question, hahaha, she answered: no, no, everything is ready I am going to bring banana’s cake and Ann is bringing something too, and that was true, hehe, and the banana’s cake was wonder, but why I wrote… “Kery me tumbó” because she omitted to say: we are going to climb the mountain, so I was dying 10 minutes after we began, hahaha. But at the end I enjoyed a lot the excursion, hehehe, so thank u very much Kery.

Pues bien el viaje a Milán fué super loco, tomamos una buena oferta de tren, sin embargo justo cuando seleccioné pagar el boleto de regreso la promción se terminó, jajaja, (supongo que alguien más le dió click primero) , jajajaja, entonces me imaginaba rodando por las calles de Milán por un día sola porque los otros ya tenían su boleto de regreso, jajaja, pero no, si había boletos sólo que un poco más caros, cosa que prometieron compensar y aún sigo esperando, jajajaja. Y no fui la única que decidió repentinamente participar en el trip, así que hemos sido dos que inesperadamente brincamos de tener un fin de semana tranquilo y en casa, jajajaja, a un viaje super divertido.
